Privacy Policy
Draft policy — this describes what the app actually does today.
Last updated: August 2026.
What we collect
- Your email address, used to sign in and to contact you about your account.
- Profile information you choose to add — display name, country, bio, and profile photo.
- The photos, videos, and captions you post, along with likes and comments. For photos, we also keep the original un-cropped file you selected — it's never shown in the app, and exists solely so your post-event download includes your photos at full quality (photos taken directly in the app aren't saved to your camera roll, so without this the cropped version would be the only copy).
- Approximate GPS location, collected only at the moment you request a posting pass, to confirm you're on the AirVenture grounds. This is a one-time check, not a continuous location history — we don't track where you are afterward.
- Basic usage data: when you were last active (used to show who's online now), and IP address, which is logged briefly to prevent abuse (e.g. spam submissions, repeated failed check-ins).
- If you contact us or submit an advertising enquiry, the details you provide in that form (name, business details, contact information).
How we use it
To operate the feed and your account, confirm you're attending AirVenture before issuing a posting pass, respond to enquiries you send us, and prevent abuse — including rate-limiting repeated requests and reviewing accounts that receive multiple reports from other attendees.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Flightline runs on Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Cloudflare R2 (photo and video storage), and Stripe (payment processing). Each processes data on our behalf to run the app — Flightline never sees or stores your card details; that happens entirely within Stripe.
How long we keep it
Flightline is built around one event, and your content follows the event's calendar:
- During the event and after: your posts stay in the shared feed until it closes shortly after the event ends. After that they move to your album, where they are visible to you — and still to anyone who liked or commented on them while they were in the feed, so their own activity doesn't point at a missing post. They are no longer publicly browsable or searchable.
- About 10 days after the event ends: we email everyone who posted a link to download their own photos, videos and captions as a single zip file. You can also request this download yourself at any point after the event from your profile ("Download memories"). Each download link stays available for 30 days from when it's prepared.
- 90 days after the event ends: all posted photos, videos, captions, likes and comments are permanently deleted from our systems, including our storage provider. This is automatic and cannot be reversed — please download your memories before then.
- What stays: your account and profile (so you can use Flightline at the next event), payment records we're required to retain, and moderation records for accounts that violated the terms.
Independently of this schedule, you can ask us to delete your content or your whole account at any time.
Your choices
You can edit or remove most profile information yourself from your profile page. To delete your whole account — profile, posts, photos, videos, likes and comments — go to Your account in the menu. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
To download a copy of everything you posted, use Download memories. For any other data request, email us and we'll handle it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls on our database) to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and note the change.
